Title: Lots of freezes without crash
Post by: 911WasAnInsideJob on August 04, 2006, 02:01:46 PM
aMule 2.1.3 using wxGTK2 v2.6.3 (Unicoded) (OS: Linux)
Debian Etch
Recent changes to my configuration of amule:
- to diminish the CPU consumption I disabled a lot of colums inside many windows inside amule.
- I connect only to Kademlia (I used to connect to servers, but not anymore)
- I upgraded to 2.1.3
And I use btdownload (bittorrent) a lot more than before; but with upload limits, so that it should not impact amule's upload capacity.

And since all those changes, though it may well be totally unrelated, I have a lot of GUI freezes, that may last for very long minutes, half an hour,... They are accompanied by 99% CPU consumption. Right now for example I cannot see anything inside amule, I have 99% CPU consumption and it has been lasting for nearly an hour.

And of course I am regularly disconnected from Kademlia, like many other forumers.

I closed amule and today I don't have this problem anymore.
Difference between both sessions: I guess I started tosay's session from desktop 1 before sending it to desktop 2, while a few days ago I started amule directly from desktop 2. If this is correct, this might be a problem with Xorg.
