Amule crash every time I clean the results of a search, or when I'm closing the first results' tab (no problem when closing the second, the third...)
I'm running Amule under Ubuntu EdgyEft.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

This also happens to me.
Clean install of Ubuntu Edgy AMD x64 with aMule 2.1.3 installed from the default repository.
-
seems to be a GTK problem in Ubuntu Edgy...
-
I have the exact same problem in Mandriva 2007, not in 2006. THat's weird, anyway. Gtk-2.10.3 in Mandriva 2007, 2.08.3 in Mandriva 2006. And using the same RPM of wxGTK-2.6.3 in both cases.
-
It's like my shell scripts...
After having installed Ubuntu Edgy, most of them didn't work anymore...
They were incorrectly written, but they worked on Ubuntu Dapper Drake...
I had to rewrite them correctly to enable them to work on Ubuntu Edgy Eft.
Maybe the same for GTK... Maybe some GTK code were incorrect in Amule, but worked on previous versions of GTK... but not on the last version.

Same problem in Fedora Core 6, didn't happen on FC5. SVN from Nov. 5th.
Regards.

Same result in my PC. Ubuntu Edgy x86 + aMule 2.1.3
Crash when:- Clean all the search results
- Close one of the search results (sometimes crash, sometimes GUI errors in tabs)
-
i have exactly the same problem and i just can't see a way to fix it since the same cvs's that i use would work in ubuntu 6.06 so it is not that easy to get that matter solved ... maybe running amule with gdbg would print some info on crashes but can we do something with it at all :)

Fixed from SVN as of Nov 20th at least, using wxGTK 2.7.2. I guess somewhat Gtk 1PI calls were changed in the code, either in wxGtk from 2.6.3 to 2.7.2, or in aMule-CVS.

same crash in
xubuntu [edgy] and 2.1.3
-
godfree2, please. There is no point in posting things like "I'm experiencing this in [A-Z]Ubuntu, too".
The problem is well known, occurs on all systems with gtk-2.10.x, and can solved by building aMule SVN against wxGTK >= 2.7.2.

Any of you guys is getting kernel crashings or X crashes when amule finish a big file, I mean I have a hp pavilion dv6058 with an Ubuntu edgy AMD 64 installed, and I have the same problem as you, the amule crash every time I clean the results of a search, but in adition sometimes my kernel or X crash, the kernel.log didn't say me anything but I know that sometimes my computer doesn't work after use the aMule for a long time (not too much 2 or 3 days, sometimes less) I kept my computer working without the amule and nothing happens so maybe it is caused by amule, I'd like to know if any of you have the same problems.
Thanks

@noray:
Open your own thread, do not hijack this one (since your problemis different form the one in this thread). Besides, have you run aMule in gdb to debug it? or have you tried compiling your own aMule? tell us all of this info, since without that, we cannot help you.
Regards.
