Title: mp3 file

Hi everyone,

I downloaded some music.
It worked fine.
All the files appear with the .mp3 extension.

However impossible to open them.
Why? How should I do?

First of all: Use the right section to post.

Second: On Linux. there's the utily 'file' to determinate the real file type. Should be available on Mac as well.

What do you mean impossible to open them? You have very vague description. For one what OS are you using and which media player? Now does the file even open for example with xmms? Do you get any sound? So many things to rule out. Maybe you need to port your media player, maybe you need to reconf alsa or asa?
