Dear all, thank you for existing!
Today I have done an update of the debian CVS distro of amuled and - it doesn't work any longer.
I am running ubuntu edgy with kernel 2.6.17-11-generic and amuled 2.1.3+CVS20070413-1. It crashes with the usual uniformative message (no trace). I have downloaded the amule-daemon-dbg version but it won't run. It says:
-bash: /usr/lib/debug/usr/bin/amuled: cannot execute binary file
obviously it does the same under gdb, so I cannot generate a useful backtrace. The only thing I can get from gdb using the regular (stripped) version of amuled is:
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

0xb79bb138 in wxStringBase::operator= () from /usr/lib/libwx_baseu-2.6.so.0
What can we do about it? I love aMule!
Thanks to everybody for helping

Try compiling your own amule from source and see if it works.
