After running aMule for some hours I've noticed it steadly increases CPU and memory use.
PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
330 mentus 17 0 104m 102m 8104 R 37.7 47.0 229:01.45 amule
It starts up behaving nicely (consuming about 0.2% of cpu and 15/16Mbs of ram), but after some time goes by it starts leaking CPU and memory usage IMHO. And no, it doesn't stabilize on 104Mb, if I let it run for more days it'll use 200 300Mb of ram till all my memory is gone. Did anyone else notice this behaviour?
I first noticed it on aMule 1.2.4, then I upgraded to 1.2.6 expecting it'd had been fixed but it wasn't. I've compiled 1.2.3 and will try it later.

hi,
use amule 1.2.6 and wxgtk linked against gtk1 .. the prob is not amule, the prob is gentoo and gtk2..

Right. I'll recompile it against gtk1 (don't really like gtk2 anyways) and see if it's gone. Thank you,

That did it. It's consuming only 15Mb of ram and <10% of CPU. I'll file a bug report on Gentoo's bug tracking system.

i guess gentoo guys knows the prob already ;)
but feel free to post them that
