Could you please describe the curcumstances of the crash? (I just started aMule, aMule was downloading something, I clicked on xyz,...)

And wouly you kindly create a real backtrace? (Information about backtraces (http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/Backtraces)) It may be necessary to install debug packages, I hope Festor build some for Ubuntu. :)

Also: What version of cryptopp/crypto++ do you have installed?

Thanks for helping to make aMule better!

soon™... xD

The truth is that now I'm busy and  I should do packages for Ubuntu 7.10 and Ubuntu 7.04... give me a few hours

Also: What version of cryptopp/crypto++ do you have installed?

libcrypto++7, 5.5.2 version

hey

it seems that the problem is somehow related to the ubuntu 64bit package:
1. im running amule 32bit on other maschine flawlessly.
2. i compiled amule myself in order to generate a "real" backtrace. this self-compiled aMule keeps running and doesnt produce the crash currently.

amule 64bit from get.deb was reproducibly crashing few seconds / minutes after start.

yes i know...

by the way:

when i try to import partfiles amule freezes.
both the selfmade and the one from deb:

i klick on import button, choose a directory, and amule freezes.
doesnt matter what folder content is.
happens also if folder is empty.

is that a known bug?

@festor

that doesnt matter.
i tried both amule and emule.
and as i said, it seems like amule doesnt even come to the point to touch any file.
because the freeze also happens when selecting an empty folder.
