Title: Chat sessions lose connection
Post by: Stu Redman on February 22, 2009, 06:26:36 PM
I noticed that chat sessions (to both eMule and aMule) lose their socket and get disconnected after exactly 82s. Is this a bug or a feature?
Two eMules also disconnect.
Once disconnected I sometimes can't get the connection reestablished. The other times it simply reconnects on the next message.

Running a debug version (with-wxdebug) an assert raises and if you push continue it tries to reconnect. Sometimes it fails but if you send a message from the other side then previous messages appear like if they were enqueued. Anyway I think it is a protection against idle clients.

The assert (which didn't take the disconnects in account) is gone since 9447.  :)

9447 isn't up yet. Our new tarball server appears to serve tarballs only after GonoszTopi presses a button, and he hasn't found time to do it yet.

Exactly (err, I usually need to press more than one button ;) ).
