Hi,

Maybe, this can help : http://forum.amule.org/thread.php?threadid=3957&sid=

To test the concept do the following :
Turn off amule (easy for you !)
rename the directory ~/.aMule/ to something else (.aMule.bak)
Then run amule : if it start without crashing then the problem cames from the files in .aMule/, so you rename the directory to .aMule/ and you can try to just erase preferences.dat as i do every time you want tu use aMule...

Regards

you erase preferences.dat??? every time???
one time is ok but also NOT preferences.dat --> clients.met is ok

other then that this would not be really good....

Can you try to create a proper backtrace?
You can see how here: http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/Backtraces
