I'm a new user. I connect to some server. I search for some X stuff. Result window doesnt show any files.
It actually finds sources, but does not display them so I cant click on them. Any idea?
I'm using amule 2.0.0rc7, Slackware 10 linux, Gnome 2.8, running root.

running root
Stop doing that for a start. RTFM

Thank you for your most constructive, helpful and kind answer. X(
My problem still remains and I'm open for suggestions.

amule_user:
first of all, sorry for lfroen's answer :-( I don't really hink he intended to be so rude.
now to the matter: the problem you suffer has been a known bug for quite some tie in rc7. but it was fixed about a week later rc7 was released. it's fixed in current CVS. while rc8 isn't out, you can install the cvs versoin /get them at http://amule.hirnriss.net ). Sorry for that bug. In the mean time, while rc8 isn't out, i suggest you, in case you do not want to instal amule cvs, to downgrade to rc6.
Again, I realy want to apologise for lfroen's answer. you can make no doubt, in no way we are ever rude to any user. I guess lfroen just had a bad day today ;)
Greetings!

CVS version won't compile because of some weird errors. I have downgrade it to rc6 and the same problem occurs. Could it be something else? Perhaps we are not thinking about the same bug or there
is something wrong with wxWindows?
-
same error on rc6??? O.o
very strange. something is broken on your system then... or maybe it's some weird wx upgrade your distro has done :-/
You'd do us a great favour if you tried compiling CVS. please post here the erros it gives you when compiling so we can help you on the compiling process. also check http://wiki.amule.org for help on compiling aMule ;)
