Title: Sorting of "known clients" gives strange results
Post by: thedude0001 on January 12, 2005, 01:15:25 AM
Hi!
I use aMule-cvs-20050111 and saw a strange behaviour in the sorting of known clients:

When I sort them by "transferred up" the result isn't related to the ammount of data uploaded that is shown. I can't figure out how the clients are sorted, it looks quite random to me.

When I sort them by "transferred down" with the arrow upwards the result once again looks random to me. When changing to arrow dhowing down the result gets sorted by MB transferred down with the lowest numbers on top and the highest at the bottom. This is the opposite of how sorting works on the upload tab so it is quite confusing, too.

I hope I made myself clear, after all it just says "Somebody should take a look at the sorting part of the code". :P

This happens on what? The Client-list?

Yes, I think this is the clients list. (Transfer tab, lower part, where you can cycle through yuor uploads, the client in your queue and the clients list(?) )

Right. Found and fixed.
I'm committing a patch now. ;)

OK, just switched to amule-cvs-20050117. Sorting on "transferred down" now works for me, but on "transferred up" there's still a little bug:

On top of the list there are some (6-8) clients with 0 bytes transferred up, upload status unknown, no username and an icon with a donkey and a "?". Their download status says "connecting" and it seems that after amule got connected to them they get sorted in correctly.

I definitely have to find out how to make a screenshot under vnc, that would make things a lot easier... :))
