This problem occured on several occassions.
Scenario:
-aMule is downloading one or more files with plenty(200+) of sources
-some other application (Azureus) took all the free disk space on the partition where my incoming folder is placed
-aMule shows disc write error
-I free up some space in the partition
-Now aMule will not resume download
Is this problem known? Is there any way I can resume download.

Which version are we talking about?

-Now aMule will not resume download
It's OK. You should press "Resume" for file(s) you want. Select them, right-click -> "Resume".

Actually, the current checks should automatically resume files, however the checking is strict, so this only happens if there is enough free space to complete the file.

Xaignar: sorry to disappoint you - it doesn't work this way. It working like this - amule writing to file untill hit to "no space left on device". At this point download(s) are paused. I should manually resume them.

lfroen, that's because I'm stupid and the checking loop is buggy. Except a commit in a momemt. :P
