Title: Instant crash after selecting text
Post by: jkari on March 31, 2005, 01:32:11 PM
Hi,

On Search-tab, after search word is written, if I select that word (or part of it) to press delete to erase field, emule crashes. This happens instantly after selection is done. Exactly same problem with xmule

When run from command line, this is what comes out after the crash:

Gdk-ERROR **: file gdkselection.c: line 246 (gdk_string_to_compound_text): assertion failed: (property.encoding == gdk_atom_intern ("COMPOUND_TEXT", FALSE) && property.format == 8)
aborting..

On commandline amule --version returns:
aMule 2.0.0rc8 using wxGTK1 v2.4.2
OS is SuSE 9.1

jkari,

Yeah, try current cvs. It should be easy to generate a rpm using these instructions:

Cheers!

How do you define easy?
I don't think that it is easy to create a rpm from a source tarball that doesn't compile at all.

I can be pretty sarcastic too, especially when I am on a bad mood like now.

I though people would be inteligent enough to understand that easy is about not having to go through the burden of setting up a hand compile. If the tarball does not compile, get one that does compile.

Never think anyone is intelligent, then you get only positiv suprises.
