Title: aMule 1.2.3 cannot find sources
Post by: ilmalcom on January 05, 2004, 12:42:32 AM
I cannot download anything with aMule 1.2.3 :? It connects to a server, but it can't find any sources... only with one file it could, in the other cases the bar remained red. I installed 1.2.1 again, but what could it be?

how long did you wait? sometimes (with amule 1.2.1 too) i must wait some minutes before finding new sources, specially if i haven't got any chunk of the files

well, at least I have no problems... 1.2.3 is more stable then 1.2.1 (which was quite stable for me, anyway) so I'll stick with it...

Yes, the files are not paused  I waited some minutes without results, I noticed that 1.2.1 is much faster to find sources :?

I also have the same problem.
Whenever I begin to download more than one file at the same time. Only one of the files begin to have sources fast. Problem seems to be that default setting allow very few new connection per second (5 con/sec) and it seems to wait to have join all the clients for one file before asking the server for another one. So you can wait a long time. But just be patient, it will come finally...

noticed this (1.2.3): files very small, like <50KB had hard times finding sources. I had a bunch of subtitle files that found many sources while searching, but after adding to download remained red eternally. Finally got them with edonkey.

Number of sources for red files occasionally showed up >0, but then dropped to 0 pretty soon. No way to be sure, but it smelled like misbehaving and being banned.
