I am using mandrake10.1 in china, I download the mandrake-amule-gtkwx2.5.3.
rpm the two files is very successful, but they crash when started by type amule in my console.
error messge:

can you try to remove the .eMule FILE!! from your homedir?
its a hidden file, and contains the settings of amule, try to erase it, and restart amule

rm -Rf .aMule .eMule and any other Mules.
but the question still exist

^^nope, I figured since you seamed to use the rpm pack from our dl page, you only had ours installed, but does not look like it
best is to remove ALL!!! and reinstall teh right once, which come with the amule-pkg, then you should have no problems..

It's the locale. rc8 had a bug with chinese locales.
