Title: bug: cannot download twice the same file
Post by: fcardone on April 18, 2005, 11:42:59 AM
Hello -

I noticed that aMule now marks green those files which already have been downloaded, which of course is very useful. However, the problem is that it won't allow a file to be downloaded twice. If for some reason we deleted a file that we already downloaded, we cannot repeat the download, because clicking on a file marked "green" yields the message "you have already downloaded this file".

Possible solutions:

1) "mark as not completed" button
2) right mouse click opens a menu with "mark as not completed" option
3) "green" files can be simply downloaded again
4) selecting a "green" file to download would open a confirmation dialogue

hmm if you really deleted the file, it should allow redownloading, at least that works here...

Rehash your shared files and U'll be able to download needed files again.

We'll, you dont need to reshash the files, just reload the shared files (which will only rehash if needed) or restart aMule, either will result in the file being removed from the list of shared files, which is what is checked when we decide if the file is ok to download.
