Title: The connection stop when i use amule
Post by: Mar91 on January 03, 2006, 01:48:27 PM
I've used windows xp until a month ago,and now i passed at linux suse 10.0,kernel 2.6-13.15,kde 3.5. I've installed amule 2.1.0 (first i was using amule 2.0.3) and i've got 2 problems. After 30 minutes (about) that amule is running, the connection stop. THere is also another problem. The download speed of amule is very low. The max speed download that i've seen is 10 kb\s for all my 10 download. On windows where i'm using emule++,the max  download speed is 70 kb\s for all the download. In windows the connection never stopped. What's the problem?

Set your max connections, or upload speed, or something, lower. you're stressing your line to the point of disconnection.

also max-connection / 5 secs is really killer sometimes...

Ok! I'll try it. I've got another ask for your:
If i overwrite the client.met of amule 2.10 (linux) with the client.met o windows, should my download speed increase?

cryptkey.dat and preferences.dat

the clients.met are the credits from the otehr guys ;)

So, if i copy the cryptkey.dat and preferences.dat from emule (windows) to linux,my download speed will increase?
Bye

Also try not using kad, since 2.0.3 had no kad at all but 2.1.0 includes it.

Regards.
