Title: Amulgui can't talk with amuled

So, I've another problem that has been bothering me for some time now.

I searched trough the forum, and it appears that I'm the only one to experience this bug  ;(

Let's go for bug report. I downloaded source package for amule-2.1.1 and amulegui-win32-2.1.1. I intend to use amuled on my linux box, and amulegui on my win32 box to manage it.

I have compiled amuled (wxGTK is ANSI mode), and everithing is (almost) working perfectly. amuled downloads and so on, and I can connect trough amuleweb.

Problem: there is no way to use the provided amulegui-win32 (I had the same problem with previous version 2.1.0). The connect box appears, I fill in the ip, port, and password, the amule window shows up, freezes for a couple of seconds, and then displays a list of serveurs, status is "not connected", status text is "loading..." and then, well, nothing more happens (see the screenshot in attachment).

Log window does not display anithing.


What's goin' on ?

you have way, way, WAY too much servers.

I compiled using (fixed) wxGTK Unicode (suspected some Unicode/ansi incompatibility). Looks like it fixed the issue. The server window is not updated and show false/strange information, just like the graph window, and the search box. I'm very disapointed, only the dl list is accurate or of some use.

As a point of comparison: amulegui (linux) compiled with amuled works far better : connected server is accurate, kad status is accurate, search box works, shared files works. Graphs still not working.
