Title: Webserver, blank page
Post by: spranto on April 26, 2006, 10:58:51 PM
I've configured everything to make the webserver available, but when I try to connect to this machine the only thing that apears is a blank (white) page.

Can somenone tell me what is happening?

Thx in advance!

i don't know if this is related but i had a similar thing with a bbs. do you use ie 6 on win? does it works with firefox? if so then try to disable http 1.1 in ie6 (somewhere in extras/internet settings). this cured it for my customer.
in fact better would be to use firefox.

to install amule I did this:

./configure --enable-webserver
make
make install

I'm using Ubuntu Breezy and the CVS is from the 24th of this month.

One more thing when I turn of amule the message displayed in firefox is similar to the ones that we all can find in an non-working server: "Server not found"

By the way I allways use firefox, even on the windows machine that I'm trying to access amule.

Thx again!

Ok, I now think that I know the prob... I didn't know that I had to start the server separatly. Can you tell me how can I do this?

well just type "amuleweb" and it should fire it up, you need a remote.conf, search the forum for a sample

btw: there is a wiki page http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/AMuleWeb

if you have problems plz post your amule.conf file
