wardevil,

I can build amule FC4 rpms for you, if you want. Which spec did you use? One of the two inside the tarball? Maybe it is a good idea to leave the source rpm, if you have space, it should compile cleanly in any of FC*.

Cheers!

the problem is not space but bandwith...im hosting this rpms myself...the second day i made fc3 amule rpm public i´ve got about 1Gb of upload traffic....so you can imagine what it will happend when i have FC4....  8o

In addition i made some wxGTK for every OS version...so...if you have some rpms of wxGTK for fc4 would also be much appreciated...  :D

Cheers.....

I see... Maybe we can arrange that with Kry, he offered help. I don't have the rpms for wxGTK, I usually compile them myself, but send me the spec and I will do it... If you send me quick, maybe even today, if not, next monday :P

Cheers!

Sorry for the late reply but my time was spent in making some wx packages for fedora 4 and 5 but i ran into some troubles linking wx-config with rpmbuild in a chroot enviroment cause i dont have so many machines and/or hard drives to mantain the rpms for fedora so,i am going to clean install FC5 and see what happens....

Correct me if i am wrong but if you install wxGTK from source then the install root is in /usr/local/bin so if someone install that rpm the amule will look for the wx libs in /usr/local/lib right?
Unless the destination host has wx installed in /usr/local the rpm will be useless and will give too much confusion to the end users....Am i wrong?
Well ....when i get home i will send the spec for wx for you to try to build wx rpm....
So when/if i have the rpms i will PM Kry for hosting them....

Cheers....

No, the location where the libraries are installed does not matter. It's no problem to compile software with libraries in /usr/local and then run them with libraries in /usr. You only have to make sure that the one where they are actually located is in the search path (i.e. /etc/ld.so.conf). This should be the case for both by default.
