CVS 20050403 webserver strange
« on: April 05, 2005, 12:02:53 PM »

Hi all,
I've had a search on the common problems and haven't seen this yet, I upgraded my aMule CVS yesterday to 20050403 (because 20050404 wouldn't compile) and the webserver now lets me login without a password, and if I do type the password it just sits there  ?(

Anybody else had the same problem? I checked my aMule settings and the password is still in the configuration.

Cheers.

heho

the webserver has a NEW config file,

to create it run amuleweb once with the parameter -w

it will write the remote.conf in your .aMule dir, then copy the webserver things from amule.conf to the remote conf and it should check password again.

if you need more info check hte wiki.amule.org pages and then webserver howto. the 2nd part from GonoszTopi is about those NEW settings.

thanks for that. although after reading the wiki i still can't see the -w setting to create the new file but nevermind it worked anyway.

i see that starting the webserver on amule startup is working properly now that's pretty damned sweet rather than me having to type anything (lazy??).

the final step for amule to become godlike is a win32 gui for my girlfriend to connect to the core running on the fedora core 2 machine  :baby:

cheers again.
