crashed with normal user but not with root
« on: April 22, 2006, 03:35:11 PM »

Hi everyone there:

My Emule crashed everytime when I start is as normal user but everything is OK when I start it as root!

How was that? How can I fix it? Thanks a lot.

you can fix it by showing us the backtrace you get when it crashes...

also a first try could be to backup your .aMule dir and start with a clean setup

mv /home/USERNAME/.aMule /home/USERNAME/.aMule_bak

and restart

Hi Guy, this works:
mv /home/USERNAME/.aMule /home/USERNAME/.aMule_bak

Now it seems aMule works correctly. Thanks a lot for your help.

I still would check what was the problem...

and I recommend copying the clients.met,.cryptkey.dat and the preferences.dat back so you dont lose your credtis...
