SUSE 10.1 (i586)
« on: May 28, 2006, 08:47:33 PM »

Hi,

this is a package of aMule 2.1.2 for SUSE 10.1 (i586). It is statically linked to wxGTK 2.6.3 (Unicoded). I am posting this, knowing that we will probably have two ones in the end, because it might be useful for people running aMule together with existing packages of other wxWidgets-based applications (aMule + VLC, Audacity, BitTorrent pre-5.0, ...).

http://rapidshare.de/files/21625130/aMule-2.1.2-0.i586.rpm.html

And this is the matching debuginfo package:

http://rapidshare.de/files/21626610/aMule-debuginfo-2.1.2-0.i586.rpm.html

The debuginfo package provides the debugging symbols needed to generate a backtrace. It is very large (> 20 MB), so will most likely not want to install it, unless you are asked to post a backtrace if aMule crashes for you.

Don't forget that you need to install the following packages from the official SUSE repository first in order to run aMule:

binutils
gd (this one is not installed by default, get it here)
glib2
glibc
gtk2
libgcc
libpng
libstdc++
pango
readline
xorg-x11-libs
zlib

Menu entries will be created under Applications -> Network -> P2P. Have a lot of fun! ;)

What does that mean? Is there an error message?

The webserver is definitely enabled. To be exact, everything is enabled:
Code: [Select]
user@linux-u147:~> rpm -ql aMule | grep bin
/usr/bin/alc
/usr/bin/alcc
/usr/bin/amule
/usr/bin/amulecmd
/usr/bin/amuled
/usr/bin/amulegui
/usr/bin/amuleweb
/usr/bin/cas
/usr/bin/ed2k
/usr/bin/wxcas
