[RESOLVED] Empty message
« on: August 23, 2004, 11:06:46 PM »

Just a few minutes ago i noticed that i can send an empty message to other clients ( just press send or hit return with nothing typed in the msg line ) , AFAIK thats not posible in eMule, so i guess this makes it some kind of a little bug of aMule :)
btw i'm using cvs-20040823.

I'm using eMule v0.43b and just received from an aMule v2.0.0 (RC: no clue) an empty message. I think the amule user wanted to write something, but my emule didn't show it. emule2emule messages work great, so I asume it is amule's fault.

I might add that on 2 out of 8 occasions I got 2 empty lines instead of one (same time stamp).

And is there a possibility to change:
"xnorf
aMule user" to eMule user? ;)

another addition, when someone else starts a chat with me, I send empty lines.
And I see an 'oke' afterwards. And this repeats.... until I close the chat window.
I hope.  :]

Already had a dozen people msg me and getting pissed of as hell, cause of these msg's.
It's a bit of a shock returning home after a couple of days and reading msg's with 1200 different ways of how to kill someone in the most gruesome ways.

Is this fixed in the current cvs?

I wonder if amule shows correctly messages send by eMule. Is that known for sure? Or is somebody willing to pm me his IP+Port to check? Probably somebody using the latest RC of aMule.
