gotcha :)

remove please the
wxGTK-2.4.2-3.fr

and install the 2!! wxGTK rpms fror our Homepage ..then restart amule and there should be no crash...

hope that helps.

stefanero

PS: also search for a way that your yum update does nto update your wxGTK rpms when you update your packages. otehrwise next time you will have teh same problem

on your laptop you might have used differenc amule rpm?
or compiled it yourself?

I think on freshmeat tehre are amule rpms which are compiled against those fedora wxGTK rpms, which could explain why this works aswell.

but we strongly recommend to use our/ wxWidgets original wxGTK rpms since the other once are sometimes f*cked ;)

I tried the rpm downloded from your site:
[root@localhost tmp]# rpm -ivh aMule-2.0.0-rc7_rh9.i586.rpm
Preparing...                ########################################### [100%]
   1:aMule                  ########################################### [100%]
[root@localhost tmp]# amule
amule: error while loading shared libraries: libcom_err.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
[root@localhost tmp]#

Which rpm packet will I install for using amule for fedora? ?(
For my laptop I used your tar.gz file.I tried on my desktop but 'make' filed...with errors:

yeah

for compiling yourself you are still missing wxGTK-dev which you did not install before...

and 2nd you did not set 2 links...

# ln -sf /usr/bin/wxgtk-2.4-config /usr/bin/wx-config
# ln -sf /usr/bin/wxbase-2.4-config /usr/bin/wxbase-config

do this as root and run
ldconfig

then rerun configure and try make again..now should compile
