[RENAMED] IPFILTER killing my connection
« on: January 02, 2005, 02:00:00 AM »

I think aMule is killing my connection.....

This started happening at 01/Jan/2005.
Since it's a new month, I disabled the IPFILTER, and after a few minutes, my connections goes down.

Weird, right?

Shi*t!!! It happened again [Restarting connection]

I was in the midle of updating my Mandrake 10.1 400megs and it was going quite well, as usual, my connection didnt broke once, I started aMule, and after some minuntes wham kazam, connection lost(in the middle of a search). Also, searches now are taking ages to be retrieved.

But this was ok last year, same aMule version.

P.S.: It also happened before I started updating Mandrake, so I think the problem ain't that.

AAANNNNDDDDD AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Two times, while writing this post, again repeating searchs in aMule, wich were sometimes retrieving files, other retrieving none, and always the same query????

Just editing to rename the title!!!!

« Reply #1 on: January 02, 2005, 03:06:18 AM »

I killed aMule, and kept brownsing for about an hour, and everything OK.
I launced aMule, a BAMM, connection lost.

Getting the IPFILTER back on to narrow down the problems since it was working last year

SHIT!!!!  AGAIN!!!!!

When this started happening I had just lowered IPFILTER level to 99. Later I disabled all IP relleted stuff.

I have just re-enbled everyting and have now a level of 50.

With IPFILTER at level 127 everything is going fine for 15 mins. It should have broke if it was the case for it. So, I'm wayting more 10 mins, and then trying to unchek Allways filter bad IP's, to see how it goes...
