Unicode Problems when Saving Files
« on: January 11, 2005, 11:23:15 PM »

Hi everyone,

i hope this isn't a duplicate bug report, i wasn't able to find topic in this forum describing this particular problem...

In RC8, but also in Today's (January 11th) CVS, whenever a file is completed that contains strange Characters, such as German Umlaute, i get the following error, and the file is not written (File status is changed to Stopped).

EMule Error
can't create file 'path/to/file' (error 14: Bad address)

I'm using aMule on gentoo, with wxGTK 2.5.3. Both wxGTK as well as aMule are compiled with unicode as use flag.

When compiling aMule without unicode, files that have such characters in them have "no filename", the corresponding area is just blank. Also i can't search for those characters in the search dialog (because the Start Button is unavailable as soon as such a character is entered).

So obviously i need unicode...  Is there any way to fix this, or does anyone who is capable of fixing this care to fix it ;-) ?

Yours sincerely,
                 Anybody
