"make: command not found" (Debian Sarge)
« on: May 22, 2005, 11:06:58 PM »

When I run (Debian Sarge and Amule 2.0.1)
#cd ~/aMule-compilation/aMule-2.0.1/ && ./configure && make
I get (after compilation process paste down):
#bash: make: command not found
And I cannot execute make install....

I warn you that I did the compilation following absolutely all the steps that this page says: http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/HowTo_Compile_In_Debian

you should install some more packages to your system, install binutils (for bfd library, just as the warning says) and make. Also, installing a newer version of wxGTK is recommended (latest is 2.6.0, you have 2.4.2)

Regards.
