Wxwidgets support for large files under Windows XP
« on: August 03, 2005, 01:17:47 AM »

I am trying to compile amule CVS gui under windows xp. When i try to ./configure --enable-amule-gui i got this error:
Code: [Select]
checking for wx-config... /usr/local/bin/wx-config
checking for wxWidgets version >= 2.4.2... yes (version 2.6.1)
configure: WARNING: wxWidgets >=2.5.0: Using wx-config --libs base,net
checking that wxWidgets has support for large files... no
configure: error:
                        Support for large files in wxWidgets is required by aMule.
                        To continue you must recompile wxWidgets with support for
                        large files enabled.

Any idea whats the command to compile wxwidgets with large files support?
tks a lot!

It should be fixed on tomorrows snapshot (3th), if not, then please attach the file "config.log", which configure made.

I did it like that:
$ ./configure --enable-debug --disable-optimise --enable-debug_flag --enable-debug_info --enable-debug_gdb --with-opengl --enable-gtk2 --enable-unicode --enable-largefile --prefix=/usr/local/wxWidgets-cvsu

Abraço!
Phoenix.

Re: Wxwidgets support for large files under Windows XP

Thanks, I'm disabling the check under windows until I have time to investigate it more.
If you don't want to wait for tomorrows snapshot, then you can bypass the check by removing two lines from configure that looks like this:
Code: [Select]
#error No LargeFile support!;

PunkSC,

Take a look at the other config.log file, the one generated when you compiled wxWindows, and look for "large" inside it. Maybe this option is not accepted in windows?

Boa sorte!
