Hi,
first of all: 1G Thanks for this wonderful apps (i'm coder, and i can figure the huge work there is inside this project).

Env:

- Debian Sarge, kernel 2.4, official sarge kde package.

- WxGtk 2.6 from http://www.vollstreckernet.de (removed standard sarge package of wx 2.4)

- Amule 2.1.0 standalone, compiled successfully on my system.

Sometimes, randomly, amule terminates silently.

The first time after 2 hours running, the second after 4 days...

I'dont know which event cause this...

Logfile now is empty (rewrited on last amule restart): i have'nt more info.


NB: my system is unfirewalled, all ports open (yes, i trust in debian ;-) ), so may be that some strange packet could be received on one or more ports opened from amule...

I have noticed that too. Those terminations take place after various periods of time. For example my last uninterrupted using of aMule lasted about 20 minutes. Yesterday it crashed after few hours of using.

I looked for any log files, but in fact I do not have a clue where to find those that may be useful and provide any information related to those 'crashes' and their reasons.

My version isn't compiled from source but upgraded via apt with system upgrade that took place few days ago so it looks like problem isn't connected with way of getting aMule 2.1.0.

If you want to help us find the bugs in amule we need gdb backtraces. They can be produced quite easily, just take a look at this wiki site: http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/Backtraces
