Anyone suggest a forum geared more to "new meat" - (i.e. for "the simple-minded" user level?) Most of the aMule Forums I've been able to find tend to be more developer-oriented.
Got aMule set up fine but as an ex-emule, not as familiar with Kad connecting. Did some searching and all I found in "my country's language" was:
"...Since Kademlia is a decentralized network, it removes the bottleneck that was previously caused by the need for servers (though Lugdunum has done great work in reducing this bottleneck). Now, instead of connecting to a server, you just connect to a client (with a known IP-address and port), which supports the network Kademlia. This is called the Boot Strapping...."
Don't know how to "just connect to a client (with a known IP-address and port)..."
i.e. did a search, using only KAD network - queued the file (did I miss the "known IP" data in the results??, which I then needed to enter into that "Bootstrap / New Node" form on the Networks screen?). Tried to find some kind of IP by doing a right click "File Details"?

?. Don't know from where the "known IP" is obtained?
Can anyone point me towards any guide / FAQ / Tut. on the new user / simple-minded level in setting up Kad for "..now you just connect to a new client with a known IP-address and port.." (i.e. where do you find the IP address and port for the file, so that "it becomes known to me"??? (I'm not a developer - just someone who wants to enjoy aMule).
Thanks
