Hello,
I run aMule and then switch it to the background while doing other things. However I check from time to time how aMule is working and it is not a single accident that I discover I've got a message from someone two hours ago.
I don't want to look like rude person who doesn't answer question.
Here is my wish: please, add option for message notification so aMule could optionally play sound for all incoming messages except those filtered out.
Thanks in advance, bye

Sounds easy, gets hard when it comes to portability. Linux, MacOS, Windows, *BSD all have different approaches on sound output so this would be quite an effort. What about the option for a flashing tray icon?

I won't see it -- my system is Linux/KDE, I work on 4 desktops, with taskbar shown on demand. When I run aMule in 99% I use Kdevelop so I am pretty focused on my code.
But... how about message notification "run a program". This way I could use any audio player, or even KSpeak to say actually a message ;-) It can't be easier I guess, "system" function if I remember correctly.

Could be done similarly to 'Run program on download finished...'

Maybe we could create an interface to list "events" to be associated to shell commands. This thread lists two of them, I believe we can easily figure out many more.

Nice idea. Who volunteers to implement it?

GonoszTopi does!
