Title: amule leaves surfing slow but emule doesn't?

I run emule on Windows and amule on ubuntu. These apps both setup the same way e.g max connections, upload etc.. yet for some reason under windows, my emule allows me to surf the net at a decent speed while the programe is running. Amule however leaves surfing the net extremely sluggish, so much so that i usually have to quit the programme in order to surf.

does anyone know why amule uses up alot more bandwidth then emule, and leaves surfing a real pain?

anyone????? I can tell you my exact settings and my broadband service speed if it'll help?

How is your upload max bandwitdh ?
I guess you have PPP internet connection and it is know to suffer a lot by upload, I mean when upload reach a given point, download will decrease seiously cause of too many packets in upload queue (on the modem) which block other packets.
Workaround is to use QoS, or ethernet connection.
