I'm using an intel mac with OSX 10.4. I downloaded amule and used it without a problem for sometime. But I don't know why, at some point I couldn't open it. I clicked the icon at the dock and it "jumped" once without opening the program. After about 4 days with the problem, it reopened again for about a month (as if nothing has ever happened). Then, again the same problem for about 4 days and then started working again. But it now happened again and it's been longer than just a few days so I would like to solve it. Downloading it again doesn't help, so what's the problem?
Thanx!

We'll need more information to find out what's happening. Use /Applications/Utilities/Console.app to view the console.log. That should tell you something about why aMule is failing to launch (or is exiting almost immediately). If it's crashing, there will be a crash log in ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/amule.crash.log. You can view this with the Console application, too.
Tell us what you find there.

This is what's written everytime I click on the a-mule:
Initialising aMule
Checking if there is an instance already running...
There seems to be an instance of aMule already running
If this is not the case, you may have to remove
the file ~/.aMule/muleLock, to allow aMule to run.
Attempting to raise current running instance.
so, do I have to remove this muleLock file?

Hi silfo!
Yes. ;)

silfo, that message is somewhat misleading. On the Mac, the file location is ~/Library/Application Support/aMule/muleLock.
