Hi everybody, i don't good speak english because i'm from belgium and i speak french. But if i post hier that because nobody repond me on French Amule Help.
My speed on Amule is very low, i have 5,5MB and i dl between 1 - 5KB/S and i don't know why. Do I configure my connexion ?
The 2 on the globe are green.
Thanks everybody (sorry for bad english).

As I tried to say in French already: What's your Internet Service Provider? In order to help you configuring your connection it's necessary to know upload capacity of your connection, which one'll find on the page of your ISP.
-
One factor could be that there was a bug in the last two or so Mac releases that would limit your download per source to 3k/s (see here (http://forum.amule.org/thread.php?threadid=10668) for more details). If you download a bunch of files you could still get a total download speed of 40-50k/s, though.
Anyway, if you want, you can try my latest CVS binary (see my sig) in which that bug is fixed to see if that works better for you.
Otherwise, have you read AMule_is_slow (http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/AMule_is_slow) already?

Hi, thanks for answer, i have a High ID, my connexion is 5,5MB and i don't know upload download, but i think he can going to 600KB/s.

lionel77 when i have dl your emule, and after when i wont to open, he didn't open, what can i do please ?
-
Read the section in that thread that starts with "IMPORTANT:". I know it might seem like I just write all this stuff for the sake of writing something, but in very rare cases it does actually contain relevant information. ;)
Also, just on a side note, the connection speeds that your provider lists are almost certainly specified in kilo- or mega-BIT and not -byte, so to get the proper values for aMule and other apps you need to divide the speed in kilobit per second by 8 to get kilobyte per second.
-
i think that's 5,5Mbps and 10GB.
thanks for your help

Com cllons es fa perque funcioni aixó...???Algu em pot guià, sisplau, gràcies.

only problem with amule ... X(

Please maintain the order, write in Englisch in the Englisch section and open your own thread for your questions.
@thuglife: The 10Gb are your transfer volume, but not your upload speed, aren't they?
In order to help you, we need proper informations.

ThuGLIfE22: what is the connection configuration you have on your amule? It has nothing to do with your ISP, but what you defined on your amule client. in My case I've 10 kb/s upload, 80 kb/s download (just has an example).
-
Boy, this thread is turning into a huge mess. I just split off these two postings (http://forum.amule.org/thread.php?threadid=10822) and put them into their own thread.

What are you trying to tell us here? That you still can't get my CVS binary to start or that you are running that version now but are still not getting very good download speeds?
Seriously, if you want us to be able to help you, you need to, first, read more carefully what we write, and second, write a bit more coherently, so that we can actually understand you.

How can i find my upload speed ?
This information should be on the homepage of your provider (=your internet company)
According to your IP your provider is telenet.be, but I couldn't find any 5.5mb/s connection.
les possibilités (http://www.telenet.be/fr/thuis/internet/producten/expressnet/detail_tabel.page)
Which one is yours?
-
Speed
- réception (max) : 15Mbits/s
- envoi (max) : 512Kbits/s
Thank you.
-
Providers list their connection speeds in bits/s instead of in bytes/s. Most programs (including aMule), however, want you to enter speeds in (kilo-) bytes per second.
Since 8 bit equals 1 byte your connection speeds are:
- Download (réception) = 1920 kb/s
- Upload (envoi) = 64 kb/s
In aMule, I would set the download limit to something like 1000 kb/s (this does not really matter that much, because you usually don't get speeds faster than 200k/s anyway) and the upload speed to 56 kb/s.

Hmm, not sure -- maybe you have a couple dead servers in your server list. Get a fresh server list based on these instructions (http://forum.amule.org/thread.php?postid=59009#post59009).
olivier b:
You need to forward the ports that aMule uses in your router. Take a look at http://portforward.com/routers.htm, that page has detailed step-by-step instructions for pretty much every router on the market.
aMule uses three ports (see Preferences->Connection) that need to be forwarded:
- a client TCP port
- a client UDP port (this is the above port +3)
- and an eMule extended UDP port
Also, if you are running any firewall software (e.g., OS X's built-in firewall, which you can control via System Preferences->Sharing->Firewall) on your computer, you need to open the above ports there as well.
You can use the connection tester (http://www.amule.org/testport.php) to check whether the client TCP port can be reached from the outside, that is, whether it is forwarded properly in your router and not blocked by any firewall software.
Good luck. :)

Lionel77, that's better now. But I dl between 3Ko/s and 6Ko/s pffffffff :( ;( ;( ;( ;( ;( ;(
-
may I ask how many downloads you got?
and how many sources EACH download has?
-
Sure, that's very very better now i have 5downloads and my speed is 40Ko/s it's depend.
Thanks everybody for your help :D

I'm glad things are finally working well for you. :)
