Title: random source ports
Post by: user on October 11, 2006, 01:01:38 AM
hi,
is there a reason why amule use random source ports to connect to other clients?

Code: [Select]
tcp        0      0 1.2.3.4:39648     117.228.6.173:4662      ESTABLISHED
tcp        0      0 1.2.3.4:50789     89.168.85.234:4662      ESTABLISHED
tcp        0      0 1.2.3.4:39183     95.176.163.14:2505      ESTABLISHED
tcp        0      0 1.2.3.4:41159     89.131.105.54:4662      ESTABLISHED
tcp        0      0 1.2.3.4:54369     117.162.46.55:4661      ESTABLISHED
tcp        0      0 1.2.3.4:56120     74.172.252.91:4662      ESTABLISHED
tcp        0      0 1.2.3.4:24662     117.232.23.78:1536      ESTABLISHED
tcp        0      0 1.2.3.4:40057     172.7.100.155:4662      ESTABLISHED
tcp        0      0 1.2.3.4:24662     74.176.237.86:3033      ESTABLISHED
24662 is my listen port but amule use other source ports also.
how can i set a fix source port for amule (e.g. same port as listen port)?

It is nice to have only one source port to use better accounting/shaping.
