it means that your own IP is on your ipfilter.dat :P

(the ipfilter.dat is a file listing IP's that you block (ie. IP's from honey-pots, RIAA, leechers), you prolly downloaded it some time ?)

it means that your using a ipfilter, and it's conflicting; the solution? try disabling the ipfilter.dat (you can empty the file as well)

The ipfilter.dat file is in "~/Library/Application Support/aMule", where "~" represents your home folder.

Not sure though, why your own IP is within one of the ranges of your ipfilter.dat. Did you maybe download an ipfilter.dat that blocks all IPs, for instance, from outside of Portugal?

If you want to use an ipfilter.dat, you can try the one from http://www.openmedia.info/ (but get the regular one and not the ipfilter_full.dat). That one has been working well for me.

Hi Lionel,

Some servers are telling me the ip.dat problem, not all and not all the time.

founded in my library 2 folders ipfilter.dat and ipfilter_static.dat (icon as Vlc icon)

I can't open, so can't check what is in.

Should I have to delete them,( both ? dustbin ?) before getting a new one from openmedia as you recommend, or , what can you rate ?

Thanks ;-)

The ipfilter_static.dat file is actually empty by default (to check, just drag the file onto TextEdit), so you can just leave it alone. You do, however, want to either delete or rename the ipfilter.dat that is currently in that folder, so that it is not used anymore.

i have got the same problem, though i do receive high id from the servers that tell me that my ip is part of ipfilter.dat. so i have disabled ip filtering plus deleted the file in the app support folder, but i still receive the same message that my ip is part of ipfilter.dat. strange..  ?(

Does anybody have any experiences with their IP being listed as part of ipfilter.dat and know what the problem could be here?
