I'd really like to see an option where i can select my own icons - that could be the first step to a skinable aMule.
Maybe a conf (xml?) could be used to define a set of icons - if one or more of these icons are not found, the default ones could be used.

hi!

i like the new

connect/disconnect  (idea  ok, graphics should be of a better quality)
searches                 (this is just PERFECT)
preferences

buttons.

the server buttons are not showing connectivity to the www, the old button with some wirtes, or a modified windows telnet button would be my favorite.

you should keep an eye on colors. they should be similar in general.
(all having some blue in them. even the conn/disconn)

and I REALY BEG YOU leave the old transfer button. i just love this one.

well.. I think we need more artistic and professional icons.

Even original eMule / eMule plus icons look better to me.

The jagged outlines make it look unpolished. And they are not very cohesive, they seem to have different styles.

More in general, I think the eMule icons should be used unless you can do better than that.  :))

seguso: Is that really what u think? Honest? Are they so bad? ... Well.. that leaves me extremely curious about what you consider beeing GOOD and ORIGINAL icons!!

I didn't say they are bad; I said the contours are jagged, and that they don't look very cohesive to me. What do I like? I find the gnome icons are very good.

I suggest surrounding the icons with a thick black line, like the gnome icons do. This could remove the sensation of jagged contours.

i have tested amule 2.0.1 on my windows and on suse
but the quality of the icons isnt good!
why?

I like the new toolbar. It makes it look less generic like the current ones do... The hamster is what sells it for me..

I like the old ones better, I am sorry...

I like the ones in the screenshot by reddungeon (the bottom one) better then those I get now, so maybe we can choose between the slickified current ones and the slickified new ones?

Sorry, but you icons look awful. They look like pixel art with sharp edges. And they are not stylish :) I like RedDungeon icons way much more. They look like Crystal Clear. FOR ICONS I THINK WE SHOULD ASK EVERALDO visit his home page: http://www.everaldo.com/

Ok. I'm rmoving this thread from the stickies, because this icons were already on a release or two, then changed to the current ones. So it's awfully outdated.
