Title: amulecmd /w remote host: no go
Post by: Ezeltje on November 12, 2006, 12:13:06 AM
Hi all,

I am unable to get amulecmd to connect to amule running on a remote host; this is the error message:

Code: [Select]
ReadPacket: packet have invalid flags 00000000Connection Failed. Unable to connect to the specified host
Both the local and remote are amule v2.1.3. The webserver works fine, as does amulecmd running on the amule host, so external connections appear otherwise to be working.

Any ideas?

no, I am testing this on a home LAN between two machines w/o firewalls.

yes, and connecting to port 4711 works fine via browser. But amulecmd can't connect with 4712 :(

I finally got it working by copying the remote.conf created q amuleweb -w on the machine running amule to the remote, just modifying the hostname.
