I use aMule 2.1.3 on Kubuntu 6.10. I use a ntfs partition to save the part files but when aMule is downloading a file, it shows these errors:
2006-11-18 18:28:44: CFile: Error when opening file (/media/emule/TEMPORANEI/007.part.met.bak): not allowed function
2006-11-18 18:28:44: FileIO: Error on file copy. Can't create destination file: /media/emule/TEMPORANEI/007.part.met.bak
2006-11-18 18:29:15: PartFiles: Error while saving part-file: SafeIO::IOFailure: Error writing to file: Operation not supported
and it repeat them many times.
any ideas on what is that caused by?
Thank you all!!
p.s. sorry for the language, i'm italian

As NTFS write support isn't stable yet, write support for NTFS is disabled by default.
So, no linux application can write to NTFS partitions (unless you compile a kernel yourself and enable NTFS write support, but that's not recommended).

i use the new driver ntfs-3g that provides the write support. it is a beta, but konqueror or any other program writes correctly.

Hi!
ntfs-3g works pretty good, you should give it a try.
Edit: Never leave tabs open and reply without reloading...
