Title: Recomended Firewall settings

Hi

Can you give me an idea as to the rules to use in my firewall configuration

here is how im set up:

-ASDL-->-NetGear adsl router-->-ubuntu linux| shorewall(firewall)-->-desktop pc

the ubuntu linux firewall has 2 nics (eth0 = wan & eth1 = lan not bridged)
i have the amule 2.1.3 client running 24-7 on my firewall that i connect to via VNC & putty from a windows xp pro destktop

I realise that not every on uses linux as a firewall but if you could let me know what ports i would need to make connecting to some of the non-standardsports that some of the best servers use like 15932 as used by DonkeyServer No2

Would it be a good idea to allow tcp & udp for this port number??
