Title: ed2k link handling on windows problem~
Post by: Kenneth.Xie on December 08, 2006, 02:21:27 AM
I'm using Ubuntu and WindowsXP, switching one to another from time to time.
So I used a shared fat32 patition to store my amule data.

I use firefox mostly(it's cross-os and opensource, just like amule:). On ubuntu it's ease to make amule handle ed2k links by setting up the about:config. But I found it does not work when doing the same way on windows.  So I have to copy the ed2k link and paste it into amule manually.

Does anyone can resolve this problem? Thank you very much. :baby:

Hi Kenneth.Xie!

Please follow the steps described in the wiki (http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/Ed2k_links_handling#Internet_Explorer) and report back if it works. (I think one has to do it this way on windows.)

Kindest regards :)

Thank you wuischke :)

The steps doesn't work for IE, but it does work for firefox now! ^^

Just change the network.protocol-handler.app.ed2k to:
C:/path/to/amule/ed2k.exe
