Hello,
first of all, thanks a lot for this great version of aMule.
:baby: No more crashes or annoying messages. :baby:
But, yes there is a "but", I got a strange problem. I'm actually downloading five big files (approximately 2-3 Go each) and none of them would finish ! aMule tells me that a part is corrupted (each time, it was the last one). Then, aMule try to download a "clean" part but get the same corrupted part again. It's an infinite loop !! ?(
I hope I was clear in my explanation... At the present time aMule has downloaded 4 Go of data instead of 2.3 Go !! 8o
Is it a problem with my files, aMule, eMule, my computer or me ?? :))
Thanks again and BRAVO for all the work you have done !
Bye

aMule has several problem with files >2.4Gb. like not working at all i.e. ;)
-
well, it doesn't work at all on every linux p2p client ..
but .. w'll fix it :))
-
Thanks for your quick answer !!
I mean aMule 1.2.6...
My conf : Debian Sid Ext3 fs Kernel 2.6.3 8o
Why does this problem impact all p2p under Linux whereas it seems to work under Windows (AAARGHH) ?? ?(
Could you give me an explanation about this ? and the way you will fix it ? Please. ;(
Will the next version (1.2.7 ?) of aMule "corrected" ?
At the moment, I stopped the download of these big files. In the case, the next version is "patched", will my big files finish ?? or I will have to get them again ? ?(
Many thanks to the aMule's team again !
Sincerly,
Thoseg

Probably not all p2p, just the mule based. It's a old bug, and it will be fixed. I guess ;)

i had the same problem with a file of 2.2 gb. when i got 1.9 gb of it, i moved the temp file to a windows emule client to finish it. that worked. but i wanted to keep the complete file sharing and moved it back to amule. it doesnŽt appear in the shared files list. the hashing seems to fail.

hey muckmuck .. we w'll try to fix it :)

we w'll try to fix it
i know that and i believe in you guys :D
it should have been just an information that not only downloading but sharing/releasing of monster files is not a good idea at the moment. :(

Hi all,
I had the same problem with the latest releases.
glad to hear that you will be working on it :)
and forget my previous topic about that ......

don't know if this can help but i think lmule was made up with emule 0.26d and i
found that emule had had this problem until 0.30a .
Found a post on emule forum :

perhaps it will help ?

hi there.
i have a slightly different problem but it fits to the topic of the thread:
although there are plenty sources of the files (about 2gb each) i like to download when searching for them, my amule (version 1.2.6, suse 8.2-rpm) never gets any sources and the progress-bar remains red all the time once the files are queued.
i did not experience that problem with smaller files.
is this a known issue or do i just have no luck?
greetz & thanx
