Title: aMule-dev cvs tarballs
Post by: qtip on March 03, 2007, 10:42:19 PM
Could you post the link or info on how to build or run the tarball. Im lookin in the forums but have yet to find it.

I believe im running an older tarball  on my Mac and load thru terminal window and add a text string /Contents/MacOS/amule --i-would-marry-my-mule....but this isnt working on the latest tarball.

What am I missing?

Im trying to resolve some issues of connecting but no downloading in my current setup. Wanted to see if a newer version might fix this problem.

any help is appreciated on getting the latest tarball up and working.

tia

You might get some help in the wiki: http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/HowTo_compile_on_Mac

I've moved the topic to the Mac section, chances for help are way higher there.

I downloaded the cvs version from the 14th of april and used wxmac 2.6.4, and it worked fine. You can try and do that too, haven't run it long enough to know if it's stable yet.

Seems to crash when writing to disk on large >1.4 GB files.

Could you post a gdb backtrace? Or maybe just an aMule backtrace?

Guess I could try and figure out how to do that, I'll have to build it again then, as I did a no-debug build.

Also, I'll need wxMac 2.8.3, not 2.6.4 right? I read somewhere here that 2.6.x was unsupported.

i found a compiled 2.2 cvs-version at http://www.paolinoland.it/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=68&Itemid=2 (http://www.paolinoland.it/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=68&Itemid=2)
it's running for ~2 weeks for me without problems so far on a intel imac. no need to start with the terminal anymore.

I think this was caused by wxwidgets 2.6.3, I don't experience this problem with 2.8.3
