Hi,
I'm using amule CVS 2007-04-12, and KAD seems to have a problem, as it says it's firewalled/without friends, but the firewall is configured in the same way it was when I used version 2.1.3, with no problems on KAD (I had to move to CVS as 2.1.3 was crashing, due to problems with wxGTK 2.6 on my linux box).
Looking on the output generated to the terminal, I saw several
Invalid Kad tag; type=0x0a name=0x02
Error on count 0 tag 1
and
Invalid Kad tag; type=0xa5 name=0x00
Error on count 1 tag 0
and some other similar codes.

I see the same messages, and they do not produce a firewalled status on kad (mine is open). Besides, kad code has not been moved, and I use CVS version from april 3rd, and it works beautifully. Maybe something has changed somewhere...if you reinstall aMule 2.1.3 it gets open on kad?

As I said, 2.1.3 is crashing, due to incompatibilities of wxGTK with my linux box (in fact, with KDE, and it's libraries, which are too old, is a discontinued distro :( ).
By the way, I forced another server and KAD got online. "DonkeyServers"...
[Even if the itch drives me crazy, I'll not ask you "which is the best server to amule".]

Theoretically, there is no such best server, but I always use one of the 6 DonkeyServers. In fact, they are the only servers i have on my list.

i get this also.. my kad firewalls after couple of hours, the way i fix it is just download a new nodes file.. and kad reconencts green.
i'am on CVS may 4
