Title: just for interest: why wxGTKdevel?

according to the compilation how-to, i wonder why i can compile amule without the devel packet but need it to install the rpmŽs. iŽm not a linux guru or a coder, but i like to learn more. can someone explain it to me, please?

devel pkgs include files needed for manual compilation other appz (like *-config files etc)

thatŽs what i donŽt understand  :(.

there ist nothing to compile using the rpmŽs.
