I have a server with amuled running and I can connect to it from my Windows desktop's amulegui. I was trying to test the new features from a CVS version (May 1st) and compiled it in my linux laptop, but I cannot seem to connect to the server. The definitions are exactly the same as in my Windows amulegui, so I don't know why it "goes to event loop"...
Any chance the amulegui of a CVS version only working with that version's amuled?

Can I have some help then. I've checked the amule log and, when connecting with my CVS'd amulegui I get the following:
2007-05-02 13:19:16: Connecting client: Unknown Unknown version
2007-05-02 13:19:16: Missing protocol version tag.
2007-05-02 13:19:16: Unauthorized access attempt. Connection closed.
While, when connecting with my Windows version of 2.1.3, I get
2007-05-02 13:19:01: New external connection accepted
2007-05-02 13:19:01: Connecting client: amule-remote 0x0001
2007-05-02 13:19:01: Access granted.
Any help appreciated

The EC protocol of CVS and 2.1.3 is different, you cannot connect using 2.1.3 amuleGUI with aMule CVS.
It might work with different CVS versions provided that they are not too different. (I don't know exactly how the protocol version is generated, if on daily or code version basis.)

Aahh...so that's it!
Thanks for the answer. I shall probably wait for a stable version to be released to install it on my server. Until then I'll have to forget about the statistics (which are not available in 2.1.3's gui).
