Title: What is CAS; do I need it?
Post by: skunkie on May 27, 2007, 05:12:26 PM
Hi,

I am compiling aMule for backtracking and I got an error, so I was wondering what CAS does and if I need it?

cas is a commandline program that produces the aMule image on my signature. wxCas is the same, but graphical.

Regards.

Thanks for the reply, but I do not get what you mean with to "produce the aMule image on my signature"... What aMule image and why would you want to do it? I want to use amulecmd, -gui and -web (has worked so far with the package installation), would I want to compile cas?

cas is the software used to produce the image that I have on my signature showing my aMule statistics (it's pretty big, impossible to miss it). You need it if you want to get such image (or simply statistics, cas does also that).

Regards.

Yes,

Thank you. I seem to have compiling problems even without CAS so I will move on to the compiling problems forum : (...
