When trying to install aMule I get this message (in english/Danish): Sorry, the following package cannot be selected:
amule-2.1.3-3plf2007.1.x86_64 (grundet uopfyldt libwx_gtk2u_adv-2.8.so.0()(64bit)).
I belive I need: libwx_gtk2u_adv-2.8.so.0()(64bit)
How do I get that?

HKM: Why don't you just download and compile the CVS? How are you trying to installing pkg? On what distro and are you using it manually or using package manager? I can help you manully install amule if you want.
You can get the wxGTK 2.8.4 from
'http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=9863&package_id=14076'

This is my third day using Mandriva (or any other "Linux") so I just did not want to complicate things more then a had to (compile, CVS).
Still used to the "comfort" of installing programs in Windows...
Using Rpmdrake 2007 on Mandriva 2007.1 (64bit).
Now I just have figure out how to make wxGTK work...
Thank You!

Did what the install-gtk.txt said i should do. No good. Configure command did not do anythin.
So I (and Gnome/Nautilus) opened the configure file in the Terminal and a lot of things happened very fast. I have absolutely no idea of what happened but i can still not install aMule...

HKM: I can tell you how to do it step by step if you want. Do you have IRC client or AIM client installed where we can talk face to face its harder to say it over a forum. If so connect to it and post your nick or AIM here ill contact you soon as I see it.

Alternatively, you can install aMule and wxGTK from the packages found here (http://forum.amule.org/index.php?topic=10296.0).

It seems that the problem was solved by switching over to 32-bit :).
I thank you all for trying to help me!
