Hello. I just noticed now that I've been getting LowIDs not because of my port, but because my IP address ends in .0!
2007-08-04 18:26:29: Warning: DonkeyServer No1 (62.241.53.2:4242) - NG : Your ip (xx.xxx.xxx.0) ends with a 0. The edonkey protocol assigns a LOWID to you. It's OK, dont panic !
2007-08-04 18:26:29: Servers: Connected
2007-08-04 18:26:29: Connection established with: DonkeyServer No1
2007-08-04 18:26:30: WARNING: You have recieved Low-ID!
2007-08-04 18:26:30: Most likely this is because you're behind a firewall or router.
I'm using Mac OS X 10.4.10 on DHCP. What do I do to fix this?

Change IP?!
Maybe reconnecting your connection!

OK, I just found out my ISP (Optimum Online) doesn't support changing IP addresses. :-( How can I make it look like aMule is using a different IP without changing the IP???
Or, more generally, will some programs prevent me from downloading the files on others' computers if I have a LowID?

You will be able to download and upload normal, but not to other LowID users (who are behind a firewall or router without NAT).

Or ask your IPS if he can change the IP adress to another one without 0 at end...
