Title: Problems with skins of amuleweb
Post by: Pazzeo on August 28, 2007, 09:19:23 PM
Hi all,

I'm using amuleweb compiled from cvs.
The first problem is with the chicane skin, it accepts only password with length of 8 characthers. Is it a bug?
The second problem is with php-default, with this skin the download speed results very slow and the sources of file are few. If  I change the skin, the download speed results fast and the sources of files are more. Is it a bug of php-default skin?

Choice of skin does not affect performance of amule in any way. It does affect amuleweb performance, though. So, please, try to describe the problem again.

Limit is coded into login html page. You need a longer password ? Go to login.php and change "8" to required length. IMHO - you'd better choose shorter password.

Ok thank you for your answers.
Now I try to describe much better the second problem.
When I used the php-default, the downloads didn't start or the speed was very slow...after 1 week I downloaded nothing,  the incoming directory was empty.
So i changed my skin and the downloads started very fast and after 4 days all my downloads are completed.
It is very stranger, but now i use only chincane skin.

sorry, but I can't see any way how skin choice can affect download behavior.

Maybe it has screwed up preferences?
